Hey there! I’m Shay, a UX designer, gamer, horror movie fan, and former photography enthusiast turned maker-of-all-the-things😜.
I started off studying Economics at the University of Minnesota, then dove headfirst into the world of design with a Master’s in Human-Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington. Along the way, I fell in love with using gamification to make learning more fun, accessible, and meaningful—especially for communities that are often left out of traditional systems.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me messing around in Blender and Procreate, sketching random ideas, bingeing disaster films, or crafting fan-made merch (yes, I used to run a whole fan account—photoshoots and all!). I’m super curious about how design, games, and education can collide in exciting ways—so if that sounds like your kind of thing too, let’s chat🍾
EXPERIENCE
Throughout my career, I've worked on various projects, from building scalable systems to designing user-friendly interfaces. Here's a brief overview of my design work and research experience.
